Montauk and other firsts

We stopped at a park on the way...

And enjoyed the wind at the beach.

(Not pictured: Mason's first visit to a liquor store, visits with grandparents George and Dan, and an evening meal at 668 the Gig Shack.

Spring has sprung

Finally, with some nice warm weather upon us, we had the chance to introduce Mason to the Great Outdoors.  Well...  maybe not the *great* outdoors, but to our sun-dappled back porch at least:

After about 30 minutes of soaking up some mild rays, it was time for a change.  So, we picked out his most spring-like outfit and let him drift off...

Making Friends is Easy

Mason recently got to meet the lovely Kate E., who was largely responsible for organizing the NYC bash that resulted in so many of his coolest outfits.  Yay Kate!

Bath time!

Well, after a long wait for Mason's tenacious umbilical cord fragment to detach, we were finally able to give the little guy his very first bath!  And what a bath it was...  for his initiation into this lovely ritual, we opted to forgo the standard baby tub and give him a chance to experience the real deal.  Regan donned white cotton gloves (to prevent slippage) and took him right into the water with her.  He seems to like it...  have a look:

First days at home: April 25 - 29

Sleeping in bed...

Visitors!

Dressed like a Jedi.

She's admiring his toes.

Our visitors stopped at Carvel on the way...

Hanging out with Clem.

Our first time out as a family and Max already has spit-up on his shoulder.

The pediatrician knows how to make a good burrito wrap.
